Hello! My name is Katarina Kushin and I currently work as a film art department assistant and design sets for independent theater and short film projects.
In 2017, I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in architecture and since worked under several architectural practices. Throughout my journey in school, living abroad and the beginnings of the working world, I found myself continually drawn to the aura of cinematic space. When I came across my first opportunities to work for the lens and stage, I discovered an instantaneous connection with research and design that focused on all things involving emotion, motive, and ideology of narrative and character. I found my heart, as it always has been, belonged to telling stories through design.
As I continue to keep learning and working in computer and by hand, I hope to bring evocative and enthralling environments to screen through narrative design.
